I am writing regarding John, a resident of Gulf Breeze Apartments. In May of 2002, John’s mobile home was bulldozed - the park had been sold.  John had no means to re-locate the home as he is elderly and physically disabled.  He received an eviction notice. He could not comply. His home of four years was bulldozed along with many of his possessions.  On June 19, 2008, a staff member from the Punta Gorda Housing Authority called and said that they had completed building (of Gulf Breeze Apartments) and had an apartment ready for John if he would like to move in.  On June 19th, John moved into a beautiful one bedroom new apartment.  John went from living in a 17 foot travel trailor (located on a friend’s property) to over 700 square feet at Gulf Breeze Apartments.  He is thrilled with his living space and quite happy with the management.
