On August 13th, 2004, Hurricane Charlie came through Punta Gorda. Charlie destroyed (my) housing (and) the next day I moved to my daughter’s in Sarasota. I was thrilled when (management) called me to say that (the housing) had been rebuilt and was ready to move in. My apartment is so beautiful with all new appliances, carpet, oak cabinets, and dishwasher. I love my new home and am glad to be here.

I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all those who lent a hand in my transition back to Punta Gorda from Fort Myers. After Hurricane Charlie, I faced a challenging transition to Fort Myers. While living there my automobile was stolen and my home was burglarized on two different occasions. By grace and true to her word, Mrs. Jean (management) offered me a new apartment and a safe place to reside back in Punta Gorda at Gulf Breeze Apartments. I am in debt to her and the amibale staff for facilitating my move back.

I moved to Florida in 1983 from Boston. The only peace I have is living in Punta Gorda but was forced to move because of Hurricane Charlie. Now I am home at Gulf Breeze Apartments.
